root blower types

For such tasks, the ultimate weapon-like tool in performing those jobs is a root blower. Operating using two or more interlocking rotors to create a steady air or gas flow, these rugged machines are ideal for many applications including industrial vacuum pumping, wastewater treatment and biogas production among others.

Roller Style Air Compressors: Positive Displacement Blower- Generally a two piston driven machine that circulates air or gas through the system. Their superior performance in applications that require constant and predictable flows make them highly reliable machines with a longer life span. But they are inefficient in terms of power, also noisier and heavier compared to other types of Root Blowers

Types of Blowers

Rotary lobe blowers - using two or more lobes that interlock to produce a steady stream of air, gas They have a smooth, and vibration free operation as well offering higher energy efficiency than positive displacement blowers. For a modest flow rate, rotary lobe blowers work fine for most of the operation applications. However, they may not provide the level of reliability possible with positive displacement blowers and could be limited in terms of pressure or vacuum handling ability.

Screw Blowers: Running off a screw mechanism designed to discharge an uncontaminated, continuous flow of air or gas, these blowers are most particularly distinguished by their superior energy efficiency properties. A great way to achieve a high flow rate with low pressure or vacuum is by using screw blowers on applications. Yet they may lack the strength and endurance offered by some other root blower designs, meaning higher upfront costs.
